  Laura Dark

Laura Dark noticed Vincent Buchetta enter the bistro. Calmly she watched him from her stool at the bar, taking a sip from the glass of red wine as she did so, her pale blue eyes fixed firmly in this mobster's direction.

The stockily-built bartender greeted his boss in the usual, subserviant manner. "Welcome back Mr. Buchetta, hope the vacation turned out the way you wanted it?" He then filled a glass with Jack Daniels and took it over to a corner table where Vincent was stood talking to two of his underlings who were seated facing one another.

"Did you get the job done that I asked you to do?" queried Vincent.

The younger of the two underlings spoke out first. "No problem, Mr. Buchetta. Clean as a nun's habit."

Vincent let go a wry smile. "Good."

The older underling looked a little concerned. "What we gonna do when O' Malley's son starts asking questions? Which he will ..."

"You two leave him to me, I'll take personal care of that problem when it comes up." And without another word spoken, Vincent turned and walked across to the bar where he placed himself on an empty stool beside Laura Dark, who instantly turned to face him.

"Vincent Buchetta," she announced softly, "mine's a red wine." She slowly slid her empty wine glass down the bar and placed it next to his glass, smiling seductively as she did so.

Vincent was not only instantly captured by her beauty, but also with her straightforward approach. "Whatever the lady wants," he gestured to the bartender for both the glasses to be refilled, which the bartender began to do without a moment's hesitation. "I don't think we've met before, I'd have remembered a stunner like you," Vincent said positively. "But you seem to know me, honey..."

Laura's pale blue eyes were fixed and penetrating as she spoke. "My name's Laura Dark. I arrived in town just an hour ago." She paused as the bartender placed their chosen drinks in front of each of them, then quickly moved down to the far end of the bar and began to make himself busy with polishing glasses. Laura continued. "I'm here on business, just for today."

Vincent was intrigued. "If you don't mind me asking - what kind of business?"

"It's a personal thing. A family thing ..." She tilted her head to one side. "You wouldn't understand, it's complicated."

"Try me," uttered Vincent, "I'm a good listener."

She took a sip of wine, then sensually licked away at the sweet liquid on her cherry-red lips, noticing that Vincent's eyes followed every deliberate and provocative movement of her tongue before speaking. "Not here, Vincent, it's too personal. I have a room at the Ambassador Hotel across the street. But only if you can spare an hour or so ..."

"Laura, I got plenty of time for you today, honey." Vincent had never looked more happier than at that moment in time and his thoughts were awash with expectation. Never before had such a beautiful woman come on to him and make the first move, let alone invite him to her hotel room. Not a single thought of putting himself in danger crossed his mind right then. Vincent Buchetta had only one thing going through his head - making love to this incredibly stunning, raven-haired woman. Nothing else mattered.

Vincent lay naked on the bed in Laura's hotel room, eagerly awaiting for the afternoon of passion to commence.

Laura entered from the bathroom, wearing only black lace panties. Her pink nipples stood out against her almost porcelain-like white skin. She crossed to the bed and climbed onto it, straddling Vincent with her slender legs. Vincent started to sit up so that he could put his arms around her; Laura prevented him from doing so by forcibly pushing him back down on the bed, which Vincent appeared to appreciate by giving her a lust-filled smile in return.

"I guess you prefer on top, uh? That's okay with me, Laura."

Laura slowly leant forward and came to rest with the palms of her hands on Vincent's chest. As she looked down at the man laid helpless beneath her, she felt the heat building up in the palms of her hands. Within seconds both her hands were glowing white hot, with the searing heat burning deep into Vincent's flesh. Vincent was paralysed and couldn't free himself from the sudden terror he'd found himself in.

"What in hell are you!" were Vincent Buchetta's final words a moment before his agonising death.

"It's not what in hell I am, Vincent Buchetta, it's what in heaven I am. I am Laura Dark, an angel from God. Some call me - The Avenging Angel."

The body of Vincent Buchetta was discovered a few hours later, though how the shape of angel wings were scorched into the flesh of the victim still remains a mystery. But human hands do resemble the shape of angel wings, if you look at them in the correct way.
